A Peaceful and Beautiful Property!
by Don PetersonWe stayed at Water\'s Edge for two weeks and can\'t say enough positives about this property! The cove on which the property sits is very peaceful and beautiful. It was a such a pleasure to sit on the (covered wrap around!) porch overlooking the water and watching the boats go by. Everything you could want in a vacation rental was provided. The house was VERY clean and comfortable. Don\'t miss carry out steamed lobsters from Robinson\'s right around the corner -- sweet and delicious! We loved staying on Southport Island. It\'s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Boothbay Harbor, but you can be there in 15 minutes! Just a word to the wise -- the bedrooms are both upstairs. If you have mobility issues, it would be difficult to climb the stairs. On warm nights, being upstairs can be uncomfortable (but there were ceiling fans in both bedrooms and two portable fans) We were really impressed with the thoughtfulness provided throughout the house. We were greeted with all the fixings (including sticks) to make s\'mores on the outdoor gas fireplace. There were plenty of boxes of tissues and liquid soap on all of the sinks. Those kinds of touches are so appreciated! Finally, Erin from Maineland Vacation Rentals was great to work with and very responsive. All in all, a great place to stay!
